In honor of 25 years of Tri-Kids we are going to share some flashbacks to the beginnings of this fun event! To start with, here is an article from The Union, August 1, 1990. The caption reads:
“The Humboldt Tri-Kids Triathlon held last Saturday was such a success that Race Director Loren Azevedo said it would probably turn into an annual event. More than 80 children ages 8 to 14 competed in the swim, bike and run at Arcata High School.”
